The Max Planck Digital Library (MPDL) is a central institution of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science (MPG) and supports researchers from all 84 Max Planck Institutes with expert digital services. The MPDL offers single access to data, scientific literature, commercial software licenses, scientific communication tools and services as well as research-relevant software applications. The MPDL has a transformative impact on commercial product development and the scientific publication market for the benefit of the MPG and science as a whole.
In the age of digital information, big data, the internet and network-based collaboration, the MPDL makes a significant contribution to the competitiveness of the MPG in the international scientific community.
