WINI Office Furniture is a family-owned German office furniture manufacturer based in Coppenbrügge-Marienau in the Weserbergland region. The company was founded in 1908 and is now run by the fourth generation of the family. WINI develops and manufactures durable table and cabinet systems made primarily from recyclable materials, as well as solutions for room acoustics, room partitioning, and reception areas—all produced at its own factory in Germany.
WINI traces its origins to the “Wini Holzwarenfabrik” in Duingen, founded in 1908 by Wilhelm Niemeier; the name WINI is derived from “Wi-Ni.” Georg Schmidt acquired the WINI brand name in 1967 and founded the WINI sales company in Marienau. As a result, WINI can now look back on over 115 years of experience in woodworking.
WINI is certified under EMAS (EU Environmental Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 9001 (Quality Management). In 2021, WINI also received the highest sustainability rating, FEMB LEVEL 3, for sustainable products and manufacturing processes. Selected WINI product groups bear the Blue Angel, a recognized eco-label.
WINI Office Furniture offers commercial customers a 10-year extended warranty on its products. A full warranty applies for the first five years: WINI covers the full cost of replacement parts, installation, and shipping. From the sixth through the tenth year, the cost of replacement parts is covered; installation and travel costs will be provided in advance via a cost estimate. A 5-year extended warranty applies to consumers. The full terms and conditions can be found in the WINI warranty statement.
As a medium-sized company, we recognize that we have a significant social responsibility—toward people and our environment. Therefore, environmental protection, fairness, and partnership are of paramount importance in our decision-making. Optimal working conditions, a sense of community, and the health and safety of our employees are important to us. In addition, we place the highest value on respect and tolerance, fair working conditions, as well as equal opportunity and work-life balance. As a market player, we act in a spirit of partnership, but at the same time hold our suppliers to high standards. This includes compliance with labor and human rights, the prohibition of bribery, and much more—as outlined in the WINI Supplier Code of Conduct.
Sustainable quality is of central importance to us. Our exceptionally high quality standards apply to our products, their properties and materials, and their ergonomic benefits—as well as to sustainability in terms of resource conservation, life cycles, and reparability. At the same time, our focus on quality extends to all services related to the product, such as development, sales, delivery, and installation. Our quality management system plays a key role in this regard. We have defined our quality objectives and our social and environmental policies in the WINI Corporate Guidelines.
The third pillar of WINI’s corporate policy is environmental responsibility. We feel a responsibility to use natural resources sparingly, act sustainably, and preserve the environment for future generations. Our environmental management system monitors and documents all environmentally relevant company activities. All employees are required to implement and comply with the legal requirements and the WINI environmental guidelines of our environmental management system.
Whether it involves adhering to laws and regulations, compliance standards, or labor and social conditions—we fulfill our social responsibility in the marketplace and in all our business activities. In doing so, we set high, shared standards that we adhere to ourselves, but we also expect all our suppliers to consistently follow them. In our interactions, we advocate for fair and sustainable cooperation—within the company, externally, and in our relationships with our suppliers. The same standards of conduct apply to our suppliers. The WINI Supplier Code of Conduct is intended to serve as a guide for our business partnerships in day-to-day operations. We require our suppliers to uphold the same ethical, moral, and social obligations that we impose on ourselves and all our employees.
The WINI Supplier Code of Conduct sets forth the company’s expectations of its suppliers in various areas:

Environmental policy is a central component of WINI’s corporate policy and brand. It is therefore directed at the entire workforce and shapes the thinking and actions of WINI Office Furniture. The environmental management system aims to continuously review and improve all activities that impact aspects of the company’s and society’s environmental policies.
