The UPID (Unique Product Identifier) is a unique identifier for every piece of WINI furniture. All UPID data is stored centrally in a digital product information system and forms the basis for the Digital Product Passport (DPP).
The WINI UPID label is located on the underside of the tabletop on the crossbar or in the furniture/body. It contains an integrated NFC chip. When an NFC-enabled smartphone is held close to the sticker, the chip automatically transmits the stored UPID and displays a link to the product information. No additional power supply or battery is required.
⚠️ Important note: Registered specialist trade partners can access further and significantly more detailed product information when searching for UPIDs in the WINI partner portal.
You can also manually enter the 14-digit UPID number on the label in the search field at wini.de/upid or in the WINI Partner Portal (more information). ⚠️ Please note: Only use numbers and uppercase letters. Do not enter the colons. Tables displayed in the results can be scrolled horizontally if necessary.
All UPID data for WINI furniture is stored digitally in a central product information system. You can access this information by scanning the NFC label with a scanner or by entering the UPID number on the label into this search mask.
The WINI UPID label is located on the underside of the tabletop At traverse or in your furniture.
A UPID (Unique Product Identifier) is a unique identifier for a product. It assigns each item an unmistakable identity. This enables you to precisely identify and track the product in merchandise management and logistics systems. This prevents ordering errors and mix-ups. At WINI, the UPID contributes to transparency. It facilitates service and warranty processes, for example, as all relevant product data is recorded centrally.
All relevant product data can be stored in a UPID. For example, it includes manufacturer information and model numbers. Technical specifications such as dimensions, weight, material and color variants can also be integrated. In addition to this standard information, detailed information on the individual components, comprehensive configuration and design information and information on the PCF (Product Carbon Footprint) can also be integrated into the UPID. This creates a comprehensive and precise product description that enables the product to be clearly identified.
The UPID provides you as the end user with transparency regarding the type and manufacture of your piece of furniture. All relevant data - such as model, technical specifications, colors, materials, year of manufacture - are clearly stored there. Warranty and service claims can be assigned precisely.
For example, you can use the UPID to check the dimensions or specific configurations of a height-adjustable WINI desk and when it was manufactured. This means you know exactly which WINI product you are using and how you can claim service in the event of a fault or warranty claim.
